Very Excited about my Mini Model!

Creating headband.

Making frame and wings out of buckram.

Pinning frame and wings onto the headband to true pattern.

Whip stitching floral wire to maintain the buoyance of the wings.

Tracing buckram onto fabric to create bagged out casings for each piece.

Hand sewing main piece to the band.

The script required the wings to be clapped together and hold their shape in the air. Initially, I adhered magnets underneath the casing but ended up using external white velcro in the end.

After creating casings for the wings, I then hand-sewed them onto the main frame.
